After TVR revealed the official list of the participants for Selecția Națională, some of them who didn’t reach the next step of the selection had the possibility to appeal the decision, they were E-an-na – „Malere”; Renate Grad – „Still alive”; SAVE – „Deep water”; Ioana Popescu – „Between two rains”.
After the appeals only E-an-na with the song”Malere” made the final cut. The decision was made by the Liana Elekeș, Gabriel Scîrleț and Cristian Faur.

Alex Parker & Erik Frank & Bastien withdrawn their song due the imoosibility of Erik to be in Romania, instead Alex Parker & Bastien. will compete with the song „All this love”.

From those final acts of Selecția Națională only 20 will qualify for the Semifinal, 5 will be saved the the public and 15 by the jury. The final step of the semifinal will take place on 12th February and the big final on 5th March.

Last year Romania was represent by Roxen with the song “Amnesia”, sadly she faild to qualify to the final and finished 12th in the Semifinal with 85 points.
