Directors of Eurovision 2022 have been revealed!

The directors of Eurovision Song Contest 2022 have been revealed. As journalist of Il Fatto Quotidiano, Andrea Conti revealed the ones who will be directing the show are Duccio Forzano and Christian Biondani

 

Italian television director Duccio Forzano has worked on Sanremo on six occasions for the first time in 2010 and then 2011, 2013, 2014, 2018 and 2019. In addition to that he has been the one behind many music, dance, quiz and other shows which were broadcast on Rai, Canale 5 and La7. He will be partnered with the man who started working in MTV Italy, Christian Biondani who has directed various music DVD’s of Italian stars such as Tiziano Ferro, Negramaro, Laura Pausini and live shows of Katy Perry, The Cure, Black Eyed Peas, Linkin Park, Lady Gaga and REM. Regarding the Eurovision experience Biondani has been the Multicamera Director of Junior edition of the show back in 2015 which took place in Sofia alongside Gordon Bonello. In addition to that he worked on the MTV EMA 2011 which were held in Belfast.

This will be the first time since Eurovision Song Contest 2015 that the show will have less than three directors in charge of the show. Eurovision Song Contest 2021 was directed by Marc Pos, Marnix Kaart and Daniel Jelinek.

The two semi finals of the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest are going to take place on the 10th and the 12th of May, whilst the Grand Final is set to take place on the 14th of May. All three shows are going to be hosted live from the PalaOlimpico in Turin. Which is also known for being the venue which hosted the Winter Olympics of 2006.
