EMA 2022 finalists are here, including some returning artists!

RTVSLO decided to find their Eurovision entry through EMA Freš, which is an opportunity for the artists, who’re at the very beginning of ther music career (meet them all here) together with the selection EMA 2022, where established artists will try to win an Eurovision ticket to Turin. EMA – Eurovision Slovenia, official Eurovision channel for Slovenian broadcaster, decided to reveal the competing artists at EMA 2022 through the day. Meet all the artists below:

EMA 2022 will take place in three evenings – two semifinals and a grand final. Eight established musicians and two winners of the EMA Freš selection will perform in each semifinal. The jury and televoting will select six finalists in each semi-final. The twelve selected will perform on the big stage of the final selection of the EMA 2022.

Winner will be decided in a ratio of 50:50 by viewers and five five-member juries. The winner will be the Slovenian representative at the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held on 10, 12 and 14 May 2022 in Turin, Italy.

Ana Soklič represented Slovenia at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, with a song ‘Amen’. Unfortunately Ana didn’t qualify to the Grand Final, as she placed 13th, scoring 44 points in her semifinal. Take a look at her Eurovision performance below:
