RTCG received 30 submitted songs in order to select their Eurovision entry!

According to RTCG – Montenegrin broadcaster, they received 30 songs in order to select their Eurovision entry, for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Turin, Italy. The interest of Montenegrin artists to participate at the Eurovision stage is the biggest this year, since this number of submitted songs is the biggest for the ex-Yugoslav country.

30 composers from the Montenegro and abroad applied for the Montenegrin Eurovision selection, to become their representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

“This is the greatest interest of composers in the last ten years,”

said the representative of the Eurovision delegation of Montenegro, Ivan Maksimović.

The continuation of the selection process is taken over by a ten-member expert commission, which will make the final decision by the end of the year. Back in 2019 it was D Mol, who represented Montenegro at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, in Tel Aviv, Israel. Unfortunately, they didn’t qualify to the Grand Final, as they placed 16th in their own semifinal, scoring 46 points.
