The Dutch national broadcaster, AVROTROS, have just announced that they have internally selected the alt-pop singer S10 to represent The Netherlands at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place next May in Turin. It has also been revealed that her song for Turin will be in Dutch!
S10 is the stage name of Stien den Hollander, and she is one of the leading lights of the Dutch alt-pop scene. S10 is 21 years old, and she shares her most personal stories through song, rap and spoken word. After being selected to represent The Netherlands in next year’s Contest, she stated:
Music is everything to me. I hope my music can bring something to other people’s lives, simply because it has done so much for me. Which is why I could almost explode with joy at the idea that I’ll be taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest this year. In front of such a massive audience, being able to do something that’s such an honour while representing the Netherlands… I think it’s absolutely wonderful.
