Serbian stars Sara Jo and Angellina confirm to have submitted their songs for Eurovision 2022!

The submission deadline for entering songs to the Serbian national broadcaster RTS for Eurovision 2022 ended at midnight. Shortly after this deadline, two big Serbian music stars have confirmed that they had sent in their songs, hoping to be the ones to represent Serbia in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy. They are Sara Jo, and Angellina.

Sara Jo is no stranger to Eurovision, as she was one of the three members of “Moje 3” together with Nevena Božović and Mirna Radulović. Their song “Ljubav je svuda” just missed out on qualifying for the Grand Final in 2013 in Malmö. Nevertheless, Sara launched her very successful solo career, and after various big hits, she seems to be ready to return to the Eurovision Song Contest once again. She took to Twitter last night, and said that her and her team wouldn’t be themselves, if they haven’t applied to the Contest in the very last minute.

One of Sara’s biggest hits is the song “Kaži mi”, which you can listen to right here below:

Another well-known singer from Serbia – Angellina, also confirmed that her team has entered her brand new song to the Contest. Angellina (aka Andjela Vujović) is also no stranger to competing in Serbia’s national selection. She was in the same selection as Sara Jo in 2013, also in a girl-band – Skys. Their song “Magija” finished in 5th place. Another member of Skys was Ksenia Knežević, who represented Serbia this year in Rotterdam as part of Hurricane.

Angellina confirmed that the composers of her song have entered her song to RTS moments before the deadline. The composers of her song are Marko Kon (who represented Serbia in Eurovision 2009 in Moscow with “Cipela”), and Ognjen Amidžić, one of the big favorites and the televoting winner in the infamous Beovizija/Evropesma in 2006, when Serbia & Montenegro ended up not sending a song to Athens.

I have an unreleased song which was never “performed” fully, and that’s the song that has been submitted. I believe in that song, and I was really looking forward to releasing it. Now I’m starting to think that this is how it was meant to be.

Check out one of Angellina’s biggest hits, which was written by the same composing team as her entry for Eurovision 2022:
