These are the finalists of Sanremo 2022!

Moments ago live in RAI Uno’s new programme TG1, the Artistic Director of the Sanremo Music Festival, Amadeus, announced the names of 22 of the 24 finalists of next year’s edition of this festival. The winner of Sanremo will once again get a chance to represent Italy in Eurovision, if they wish to do so.

The 22 finalists are:

  1. Elisa
  2. Dargen D’amico
  3. Gianni Morandi
  4. Ditonellapiaga & Donatella Rettore
  5. Noemi
  6. Highsnob e Hu
  7. Le Vibrazioni
  8. Sangiovanni
  9. Massimo Ranieri
  10. La Rappresentante di Lista
  11. Ana Mena
  12. Emma Marrone
  13. Achille Lauro
  14. Michele Bravi
  15. Iva Zanicchi
  16. Rkomi
  17. Fabrizio Moro
  18. Mahmood & Blanco
  19. Giusi Ferreri
  20. Irama
  21. Giovanni Truppi
  22. Aka 7even

There are lots of artists returning to the Festival again next year, most notably Le Vibrazioni, Noemi, La Rappresentante di Lista, Achille Lauro, Giusi Ferreri, as well as former Italian Eurovision entrants Iva Zanicchi, Massimo Ranieri, Gianni Morandi, Mahmood, Emma Marrone, Fabrizio Moro, and Sanremo 2001 winner Elisa.

The remaining two finalists are going to be the winners of Sanremo Giovani, which takes place on the 15th of December. The 12 finalists of Sanremo Giovani are:

  • Bais – Che fine mi fai
  • Martina Beltrami – Parlo di te
  • Destro – Agosto di piena estate
  • Esseho – Arianna
  • Littamè – Cazzo avete da guardare
  • Oli? – Smalto e tinta
  • Matteo Romano – Testa e croce
  • Samia – Fammi respirare
  • Senza_Cri – A me
  • Tananai – Esagerata
  • Vittoria – California
  • Yuman – Mille notti

Sanremo 2022 is set to take place in the Ariston Theatre in San Remo, from the 1st until the 5th of February. The 2021 edition was won by Maneskin, who also went on to represent Italy in Eurovision in Rotterdam, and win the Contest with “Zitti e buoni”.
