From the cardboard boxes and cartoonish artwork of Anna Gjebrea and Albania, we move on to something completely different: Ukraine’s Olena Usenko, with the self-penned Vazhil.
This one is moody. Olena is all alone on stage and is not afraid to let her emotions take over as the song soars through its fist-pumping choruses.
During the performance, we see searchlights, a blazing supernova, strobe effects and fireworks. Olena’s huge vocals are serenading a baptism of fire, which is not surprising considering her red outfit and hair. It looks worthy of an X Factor grand final.
Olena’s on-stage attitude oozes confidence and maturity, like this is not the first time she’s been on a stage this size. You might want to get your pets out of the room for this one, because it’s going to be explosive.
