Uzari Advances To The Live Finals Of The Voice Russia

Back in 2015, singer Uzari represented Belarus alongside violinist Maimuna with ‘Time’. Unfortunately they were unable to qualify for the final, placing 12th in semi final one with 39 points. Whilst they were ranked 8th after the jury vote, a poor 13th position in the televoting meant Belarus could not advance to the Saturday night finals. However six years later Uzari, competing under his birth name of Yuri Navrotskiy has made it through the first three stages of the competition to reach the live studio finals of season 10 of The Voice Russia. Check out his audition video below.

His blind audition was definitely a success, with a strong performance of OneRepublic’s ‘Love Runs Out’ netting him three out of four turns. Whilst Leonid Agutin, Alexander Gradsky and Pelageya all turned for Yuri, the Belarussian singer chose to join Leonid’s team for the rest of the competition. The fourth judge who did not turn for Yuri was none other than two-time Eurovision performer, and 2008 winner, Dima Bilan! Not being chosen by Dima hasn’t caused any problems for Yuri in this season of The Voice though, as he has traversed his way to the live finals by beating Diana Obolashvili in the battle rounds, and then beat out Tamara Kutidze and Ivan Kharkovskiy in the knockout round with a performance of Zivert’s ‘Siyay’. Check out his latest performance on the show here:

Stay tuned next week to find out how Yuri Navrotskiy does in the live shows!

This also is not the first time that Yuri has taken to the Voice stage. Back in 2016, he auditioned successfully for the sixth season of The Voice of Ukraine where he went on to join Eurovision alumni Tina Karol’s team. Unfortunately it wasn’t a long stay in the contest for the singer as he failed to progress through the battle rounds at the second stage of the competition. He’s already managed to smash that this time around, so could he go all the way now?
