Germany’s National Final likely held in Berlin and more new information!

For the first time since 2019, Germany will select their Eurovision entry through a National Final again. Until now, there was no information on when this National Final will take place, nor in which city the German entrant will be selected.

This changed after Bildergarten Entertainment, the TV company that is going to produce the German National Final for 2022, posted this job advertisment as assistant recording manager at the preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

The advertisment states that they are looking for an assistant recording manager of all genders, for their production location in Berlin, who is expected to be employed on a temporary basis until mid-March 2022.

This means that the National Final will take place in the Germa capital city Berlin. As for the date, it is almost certain to be in early March, as the job is advertised to last until the middle of March. The exact date is yet to be revealed, however in the last few years, Thursday evening was the most popular date for Germany’s live National Finals.

By the way, did you know that the German band Eskimo Callboy revealed that they applied to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin? It is still unknown, whether they were selected to compete at the German National Final or not, but you can listen to their song “Pump It” here:
