Eesti Laul 2022 is already in full swing, with the 40 quarter finalists narrowed down to 20 semi-finalists!

Today the Estonian broadcaster ERR revealed that Maarja-Liis Ilus and Priit Log will be the hosts of both semi-finals, which are set to be held on the 3rd and 5th of February 2022, in the ERR Studios in Tallinn. Priit Log is a well known TV host in Estonia and Maarja-Liis is a singer, very familiar to the Eurovision Song Contest.

In 1996 Maarja-Liis represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest, at the age of only 15, together with Ivo Linna.  The duo reached a phenomenal 5th place, which was Estonia’s best result at the time. Check out their Eurovision performance here:

Just one year later, Maarja-Liis Ilus returned to the Eurovision Song Contest and this time represented her country as a solo performer, with the song “Keelatud maa”. She received another top 10 placement, ending up in 8th place.
