Melani Mekicar and Bojan Cvjetićanin will take you through two pre-selections and the grand final. Melani stated:

It is an infinite honor for me and Bojan to be entrusted with the hosting of such a large and important festival as EMA 2022 is. There’s not a year that I haven’t watched the Eurovision Song Contest, so this is a really special moment for me. This year, I think EMA is very special one, because there will be a lot of young, fresh musicians, but they also take the performances very seriously. That is why I think there will be a special youthful energy in the air this year, to which I hope that Bojan and I will also contribute. I can’t wait to take all the spectators through three competitive but relaxed evenings of great shows and new music.

Bojan added:

EMA and Eurovision Song Contest have always been one mini holiday for me, and at a time, when we are surrounded by bad news and negative energy prevails, we urgently need a good dose of fun. I hope that viewers will be able to sit in front of TV screens and enjoy music.

Ana Soklič won EMA 2020 with Voda, but the contest was cancelled due to the global spread of covid-19. She was internally selected again next year, with a song ‘Amen’, when she didn’t qualify for the Grand Final of the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
