The hints behind all 7 participants of UMK have been revealed!

YLE will be revealing the line-up of the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2022 tomorrow at the press conference which is scheduled for 12.00 CET but before announcing them they have shared the clues which can lead the audience to reveal all of the acts competing in the contest for a chance to represent Finland at Eurovision 2022. Out of the 312 submissions received, seven finalists have been selected by an expert committee led by Tapio Hakanen, Head of Music at YleX.

Below you can find a list of clues for all seven participants, can you guess any of them?

Participant 1: More than 10 million streams on Spotify/Nominated for the Finnish Grammy’s/Peto On Irti (English: The monster has been revealed);

Participant 2: Famous dance party song/Cheeky with a positive personality/Has collaborated with well-known names of the music panorama;

Last year UMK was won by Blind Channel who ended up on sixth place in the final with 301 points, they managed to achieve the best result Finland had since Lordi won the contest back in 2006. The show will take place on February 26th at Logomo Arena in Turku.
