Eesti Laul voting details revealed!

Last Saturday, 12th of February Stefan won Eesti Laul 2022 with his song “Hope” and he will be the one to represent Estonia at Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Today the Estonian broadcaster ERR has revealed the detailed results of the voting of all of the stages of Eesti Laul 2022 which include the ones from the quarterfinal, semi-final and final of the show.

During the first round of the Saturday’s final, viewers sent 69514 votes, Stefan got the highest amount of those votes with a total number of 19641. Second placed by the viewers votes was ELYSA who recieved 14747. It is also good to note that the third super finalist of Eesti Laul, Minimal Wind ft. Elisabeth Tiffany got the third number of votes which was 7699 but they got the highest number of the jury points which placed them second in the general classification and with Stefan as 1st placed with 85 jury points and 19641 audience votes and Elysa as third with 66 jury points and 14747 audience votes they advanced to the super final round where the decision was made solely by the audience votes brought us the final standings.

  1. Stefan – “Hope” got 35681 votes
  2. Minimal Wind ft. Elisabeth Tiffany – “What To Make Of This” got 17587 votes
  3.  ELYSA – “Fire” got 3929 votes

The semi-finals which took place on 3rd and 5th of February also had two rounds of voting where four acts which were highest rated from the judges and audience votes advanced to the final after the first round and out of remaining six audience voted to save one which advanced. In the first semi-final total of 18716 votes were received and the five acts which qualified are ELYSA, Aleksei Zevakin feat. Grete Paia, Stig Rästa and Ott Lepland the second round of voting brought the final fifth finalists and that was Elina Nechayeva who reveived 2091 votes from the audience while Merilin Mälk ended on 2nd place with 1772. After the first round of the second semi-final the following four acts advanced to the final: STEFAN, Anna Sahlene, Black Velvet andJaagup Tuisk. The absolute winner of the semi was Stefan with 116 points from the jury and 4752 audience votes. In the second round out of the six competing acts, audience decided and in an exciting finish with total of 1357 votes, Minimal Wind ft. Elisabeth Tiffany advanced to the final the second place went to Evelin Samuel with 1245 while Maian was third with 1153 audience votes. You can check the detailed voting below

Regarding the votes from the quarterfinal of Eesti Laul 2022, the favourites were the following: from the 1st quarterfinal jury favourite was Jaagup Tuisk while audience favored Boamadu with 1544 votes. 2nd quartefinal jury favourite was Kaia-Liisa Kesler while audience loved Andrei Zevakini and Grete Paia who received 1545 votes just 31 votes in front of Triin Niitoja & Frants Tikerpuu. The favourite of the jury from the 3rd quarterfinal was Merilin Mälk while the favourite of the audience was Stefan who got 2050 votes. The last 4th quarterfinal once again brought different favourites of the judges and audience to qualify further as jury loved Ott Lepland the most while audience gave highest amount of their votes to Black Velvet, total of 1771.
