July Jones: ‘I’m coming back to win next year’

Slovenia’s national selection EMA 2022 finished last weekend, where LPS ended up with a surprise victory, and they will go on to represent Slovenia in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Disko”. One of the fan favorites prior to the final, July Jones, who competed with the song “Girls Can Do Anything”, has given an interview to the Slovenian Eurovision portal evrovizija.com, claiming that she is coming back again to EMA next year, and she is coming to win.

In the interview with our Slovenian colleagues, July Jones stated that she is super happy with the performance she gave in the Grand Final, and that she was not disappointed with the results. She added that LPS were amazing, deserved winners, and she is excited to see them representing Slovenia in Eurovision in Turin. When she was asked about a possible return, July replied that she is definitely going to come back to EMA next year, and she is going to be in it to win it.

July is now finishing the video clip for “Girls Can Do Anything”, which should be released on Friday, and she has a tour coming up in the United Kingdom soon.

Even though this was the first time July Jones competed as an artist in EMA, it’s not her first participation in this Contest. She wrote Raiven’s song “Kaos” in 2019, which ended up in second place, just behind zalagašper and their song “Sebi”. In this year’s Contest, July finished in 5th place.
