The first round of the Romanian Semi final has started, 5 entries will be selected by the public, people can vote here. The vote will end tomorrow at 19:00 CET. The jury already voted and their votes were based on the live performances. Sadly this afternoon Fabi decided to withdraw from the competition due his infection with Covid-19, he was competing with the song “That Way”.

E-an-na are trending in Romania with their Eurovision song “Malere” and dominating the Spotify Top 50 viral, Dora Gaitanovici with “Ana” also climbed in this top, placing on 27th spot.

Tomorrow after the online voting ends, we will know the 20 semifinalists, 5 saved by the public and 15 picked by the jury. The second round of the Semi final will take place on 12th February, were all these 20 participants will perform live. The National Final will take place on 5th March with 10 participants, chosen by the jury.
Ilinca (Romania 2017) is back at Selecția Națională but as a host in the Green Room, the other hosts of the show are Anca Mazilu & Bogdan Stănescu.

Last year Romania was represented by Roxen with her song “Amnesia”, she was internally selected for the 2nd time after the cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2020. Sadly she didn’t reach the Grand Final and finished 12th in the Semifinal with 85 points.
