Rosa Linn will represent Armenia at Eurovision 2022?

According to Hraparak, the Armenian representative at Eurovision 2022 will be Rosa Linn. As they reveal the decision of the Armenian broadcaster has been made and Rosa Kostandyan who goes with Rosa Linn will be their representative at this years contest. The official reveal by Public Television Company of Armenia, AMPTV is expected to happen soon.

Rosa Linn is a 21-year-old musician, songwriter and producer from Vanadzor, Armenia. She made her debut in the US market with a song “KING” which is a collaboration with electro-pop singer KIIARA. Will we be seeing bouncing synths, heavy drums and an enchanting hook as traits of the Armenian entry at Eurovision 2022 remains to be seen. In addition to that she is one of the first artists of Nvak Collective, pronounced (“nuh-vaak”, which means music in Armenian) a US-based record label. Nvak Collective was Co-Founded by the representative of Armenia at Eurovision 2015, American-Armenian singer-songwriter, Tamar Kaprelian, (who also competed in the national selection Depi Evratesil in 2018) and record producer, Alex Salibian (Harry Styles, Young the Giant, etc). Last year, Armenia did not take part at Eurovision Song Contest and back in 2020 Athena Manoukian won Depi Evratesil and was chosen to represented the country with “Chains On You“, but the contest got canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last December Armenia won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and prior to that in October their return to Eurovision in 2022 was announced, Armenia will be performing in the second half of the first semifinal which is scheduled for 10th of May.
