Tonight the first semi final of the Portuguese national selection, Festival da Canção 2022, took place. 10 songs competed for 5 places in the final:
- Os Quatro & Meia – Amanhã
- TheMisterDriver – Calisun
- Diana Castro – Ginger Ale
- FF – Como É Bom Esperar Alguém
- Norton – Hope
- Aurea – Why?
- Kumpania Algazarra –A Minha Praia
- Maro – Saudade, Saudade
- Valas & Os Astronautas – Odisseia
- Fado Bicha – Povo Pequenino
After all the songs were heard, it was time to find out the qualifiers. The qualifiers were decided by 50/50 voting of the professional jury and public televote. The five qualifiers were:
Os Quatro & Meia – Amanhã
Diana Castro – Ginger Ale
FF – Como É Bom Esperar Alguém
Aurea – Why?
Maro – Saudade, Saudade
Congratulations to the qualifiers! Five more finalists will be decided on Monday March 7th, when the second semi final takes place. The Portuguese Eurovision 2022 representative will be chosen on next Saturday’s final.
