In mid February 2022, the Azeri broadcaster Ictamai announced Nadir Rüstəmli as their representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin. Nadir rose to fame in his home country, when he won The Voice of Azerbaijan with his versatile voice. Since then, he has gained huge popularity in his country.

Azerbaijan is the 40th and final country to publish their song for the Eurovision Song Contest this year. After releasing a teaser and announcing the release date of March 21st, they have now finally released the song “Fade To Black”, which makes the line-up for this year’s competition complete!

Azerbaijan will compete in the second semi-final on May 12th, in the first half of the running order.
