The Roop release new song “Love Is All We Got” and raise funds to help Ukraine!

The Roop, who represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam with “Discoteque” just released the new song “Love Is All We Got”, to show their support and solidarity to Ukraine. The release date is not a coincidence either, because today it marks 31 years that Lithuania regained their independence!

The Roop explained that  it was important for them to support Ukrainian people during the war, especially due to the similar history of Ukraine and Lithuania!

Looking back at Lithuanian history, we remember experiencing Russia’s regime aggression multiple times. We were being occupied, exiled, killed. Each family has living memories of it. So how did we survive? We are guessing it was because of love. Because of big love for our families, children, mothers, fathers, and our country. Our nation like no other deeply understands and supports Ukraine. Putin’s war against Ukraine is a war against humanity. We wish for it to end.

The music video to “Love Is All We Got” is showing the three band members in green suits, that change their colors and motives. During the clip, their suits turn blue and yellow, which are the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and they also show images of the protests to fght for Ukraine, from all over the world. The band expresed special support to the Ukrainian band Go_A, who they met during the Euurovision Song Contest last year and planned to collaborate with them. In fact “Love Is All We Got” was one of the options for their collaboration, but their plans were stopped by the Russian invasion in Ukraine.

The Roop’s support doesn’t stop there though! They also announced a huge donation to help Ukrainian people.

We, as THE ROOP, support Ukraine by financial donations, and we gave away all of our remaining merchandise – warm sweatshirts for adults and children. In addition, we constantly share relevant information on social media. Now we decided to contribute using our primary work – music. All of the funds collected for streaming of this song on all platforms in 2022 will be used to support Ukraine. Music can contribute to the idea of a better world, and spread beyond borders and nations.

We want to express our respect for The Roop, for their big support towards Ukraine! We wish all Ukrainian people safety and freedom, and we hope that peace will prevail soon!
