These are the next two finalists and the wildcard winner of Söngvakeppnin 2022!

The second semi-final of Iceland’s Söngvakeppnin just finished and that of course means that we have two new finalists for March 12th!
As a reminder those were the five acts that competed tonight, in running order:

  1. Markéta Irglová – “Mögulegt” / “Possible”
  2. Suncity and Sanna – “Hækkum í botn” / “Keep it cool”
  3. Reykjavikurdaetur – “Tökum af stað” / “Turn this around”
  4. Katla – “Þaðan af”  / “Then again”
  5. Hanna Mia and the Astrotourists – “Séns með þér” / “Gemini”

The Icelandic televote has decided and the two acts that we will see in the final are:

  1. Katla – “Þaðan af”
  2. Reykjavíkurdætur – “Tökum af stað”

This means that they will join Sigga, Beta & Elín and Stefán Óli  in the final!

But we also found out who got the wildcard for the final. The Wildcard went to Amarosis with ” Don’t You Know

Therefore, these are the 5 finalists of Söngvakeppnin 2022!

  1. Sigga, Beta & Elín – Með hækkandi sól
  2. Stefán Óli – Ljósið
  3. Katla – “Þaðan af”
  4. Reykjavíkurdætur – “Tökum af stað”
  5. Amarosis – “Don’t You Know”
