Élodie Gossuin to return as French spokesperson in 2022!
France TV reported today that French supermodel, radio and TV host Élodie Gossuin will return as spokesperson for the French votes at this year’s Eurovision Grand Final, reprising the role she took at the Contests from 2016 to 2018.
More recently, Gossuin was seen hosting the 2021 edition of Junior Eurovision in Paris alongside former French representative Carla (who was also France’s spokesperson in Rotterdam) and Fort Boyard‘s Olivier Minne. Gossuin is perhaps most known outside the Eurovision bubble for her performance at beauty pageants, having won Miss France in 2001 and placed in the Top 10 at Miss Universe.
Whether France will use a backdrop other than the Eiffel Tower for the votes this year is yet to be seen.
France TV’s commentary will, for the second year in a row, be provided by broadcasters Stéphane Bern and Laurence Boccolini.
ESCBubble’s Olivier caught up with Gossuin and Minne after the show in December 2021 at La Seine Musicale. You can watch the full interview here:
