Second up in the Pala Olimpico this morning is Latvia, Citi Zēni with “Eat Your Salad”.
No real surprises with the staging, we have seen this high energy performance at all the pre-parties this year already. Lead singer Jānis Pētersons has a different colour of green for his suit, which makes for an interesting cameo as the band seem to recreate Il Tricolore at one point, as a nod to our host country!
The official Eurovision live blog states that there are no pyro’s for Latvia and assume it’s because of the environmental impact – personally I think it’s because … well, they just don’t need it!
