Earlier ESCBubble reported on ”a talent show” being used to select the Cypriot artists for next year’s contest. Well, now we know which one it is! It will be the All Together Now format that will deliver Cyprus’ representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023!
OGAE Greece have written today that this version of All Together Now will bear the name ”Koklonis Decides”, after the very popular host of the show: Nikos Koklonis. The original version is a format by the BBC, which was won by someone who would later go on to represent that country: Michael Rice!
The plan is that, starting from mid-October, we will see these shows every Saturday, giving the spotlight to talents from Cyprus and Greece. The shows will be aired on aired on the Cypriot broadcaster RIK but also on the Greek channel ALPHA Greece.
From each show, 2 singers will qualify to the semi-final and in the final we will see 10 artists fight for the ticket.
But how will those qualifiers be decided? To advance, they will have to impress ”the 100”! A wall of 100 people who can press their button if they think that person deserves to go through. These 100 are said to going to be composed of musicians and composers in all kind of genres, past Greek and Cypriot Eurovision stars and other big names from the industries of both countries. But that’s not all, as part of that huge panel will have reserved spots for representatives of the OGAE clubs of Greece and Cyprus!
The show is projected to have its final at the end of this year, delivering the Cypriot artist for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest!
