First Rehearsal: Iceland 馃嚠馃嚫 – Systur ‘Me冒 h忙kkandi s贸l’

Next up on day two of rehearsals we have Systur from Iceland, taking to the stage for the first time to rehearse their entry ‘Me冒 h忙kkandi s贸l’

Our Icelandic sister trio are making great use of the lighting available as the stage engulfs them in a orangey glow that fills the whole arena. 聽All three are still with their guitars and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this charm the jurors with their folky tones.

Interestingly in the press conference it was revealed that the song is written from the point of view of an Icelandic woman born in 1726! 聽They also said they had a wide range of musical influences as a group including Fleetwood Mac, Lauren Hill, Whitney Houston and their mum and dad. 聽They revealed they once played the S贸nar festival in Barcelona where they performed house music – these ladies have some hidden talents.
