Superstar Influencer Chiara Ferragni to Co-Host Sanremo 2023!

As we reported just last week, Amadeus and his team at RAI are already well into the planning stages of the 73rd Festival di Sanremo, due to kick off in just over eight months.

On tonight’s TG1 evening news in Italy, Amadeus appeared as a guest and dropped a bombshell;

“Opening and closing the Sanremo Festival on the stage of the Ariston … Chiara Ferragni.”

Chiara is known across Italy and the world, most notably as being one of the first ever social media influencers. In fact, her Instagram account currently has 27.3 million followers! Additionally, she is known in Italy for her blog The Blonde Salad, and as the wife of Sanremo veteran Fedez.

Chiara was rumoured to be one of the hosts of Eurovision 2022 in Turin, however that failed to materialise.  She will now get her shot at hosting when she co-hosts the opening night of Sanremo 2023 on Tuesday 7th February and returns to close the Festival on Saturday 11th February.

A lot of hype for Sanremo is already building. It’s still only June, and we already know:

  • Amadeus will return as host and artistic director
  • one of his co-hosts will be Chiara Ferragni
  • there will be a total of 25 competing songs (3 of which will come from Samremo ‘Junior’)

Amadeus failed to comment as to when the other co-hosts or artists will be announced.
