These two former Eurovision contestants have revealed that they are in love!
For more than 66 years, the Eurovision Song Contest has not only brought different nations together and been responsible for international friendships and new musical collaborations, but there have also romantic couples emerged from it.
The latest couple within the Eurovision bubble comes from Austria.
PÆNDA represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv with the song “Limits”, where she finished in 17th place in the second semi-final and therefore sadly missed out on qualifying to the grand final.
The Austrian Eurovision representative of 2019 has now revealed that she’s in a serious relationship. With no other than Lukas Plöchl, who founded and was part of the duo Trackshittaz, which represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku with the song “Woki Mit Deim Popo”.
Although both PÆNDA and Lukas failed to qualify to the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest, they kept making music inside of Austria, and that is exactly how they found each other.
In the Austrian Eurovision podcast “Merci, Cherie PÆNDA told the hosts Markus and Alkis, how she and Lukas became a couple.
We bonded over music, because I digged his music. Then we started to text each other on Insta and what started with a friendship, resulted into a relationship.
The two of them already worked on a music video together. Lukas Plöchl directed and filmed the video for PÆNDA’s new song “Say It”. You can check it out here:
