The Swiss broadcaster SRF will open applications for their Eurovision song in 2023 in less than two weeks, on the 25th of August 2022. The deadline to enter a song will be on the 8th of September at 22:00 CET.
Artists, songwriters, producers and lyrcists are welcome to submit a song for Switzerland. The broadcaster’s announcement did not name any conditions for an applicant to be from Switzerland, which means that international submissions are welcome too.

This selection process will take place in several steps and will not be held publicly.
SRF also revealed that the Swiss entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be revealed in early 2023. A more precise date will follow soon!

At this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Switzerland managed to qualify to the Grand Final for the third time in a row with the song “Boys Do Cry”, performed by Marius Baer. Despite not being as succesful as his predecessors Luca Hänni (4th place) and Gjon’s Tears (3rd place) and not receiving any televote points, Marius still managed to finish in a respectable 17th place with the help from the international juries.
