Eurovision winner Netta releases Official Music Video for new song “Playground Politica”

Netta Barzilai has just released the studio version of her new song “Playground Politica” and it comes with a very cool and colorful music video, which was filmed in Nigeria. The song talks about Netta’s childhood, which she spent in Ibadan, Nigeria until the age of six, and how she wishes to re-visit the carefree life she had there.

Until then, my imagination had never been limited. When I look at videos of me back in Ibadan wearing a leotard, I was this tiny little drag queen filled with confidence dancing and singing.

“Playground Politica” features the Nigerian-born, Ghana-based singer Mr Eazi who is very popular in both countries and has won several music prices, including two MOBO Awards as Best African Act or the award for the Hip Hop World Revelation Of The Year in The Headies. He plays a prominent part in both the song and the music video, which was filmed in his birth country Nigeria. You can watch the Official Music Video for “Playground Politica” here!

The Israeli Eurovision winner has promoted the song release on her social media accounts and is even giving away a “Playground Politica” poster to five lucky winners, who pre-saved the song.

Netta represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon with “Toy“, where she finished in third place with the professional juries, but was voted first by the televoters by a wide margin. She ended up winning the evening with 529 points and therefore brought the contest to Tel Aviv in 2019. Netta is still the most recent female solo performer to win the Eurovision Song Contest!
