Brussels Airlines has just launched a new safety video with the famous Belgian band Hooverphonic, who represented their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. The song will be played to all passengers aboard Brussels Airlines, to brief them with the safety instructions.
Previously, Brussels Airlines has found other creative ways to draw the attention to their passengers and teach them about the safety instructions, like in form of an animated video or the Belgian national soccer team reading out the instructions. However, Hooverphonic is the first music act to sing the safety instructions in a Brussels Airlines video. On the 1st of August, the video was published and Hooverphonic even gave a surprise concert at Brussels Airport. You can watch the full safety video here!
The idea behind this is to attract attention to the safety guidelines, in a new and creative way, to keep the passengers interested, as Michel Moriaux, the Head of Marketing of Brussels Airlines, expressed to the press:
The safety instructions we give on board at departure are essential. Safety is our priority but that is not a synonym for bland at Brussels Airlines. For years we have tried to attract the attention of our passengers with humour and creativity. The result of the unique collaboration with Hooverphonic is the perfect example of this. We are very happy that our Belgian pride has taken up the challenge and pulled out all the stops to create a surprising song and clip that will be going around the world from today
Furthermore, the band has shared their excitement and pride over their latest project on Instagram.
