The Polish runner-up of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris, Sara James, has recently made the news for her participation in America’s Got Talent, where she auditioned with “lovely” by Billie Eilish and received the Golden Buzzer by long-time judge Simon Cowell and was therefore secured a direct spot in the live shows.

The 14-year-old has now performed in her first live show, where 11 different acts competed for a place in the talent show’s final. Out of these 11 acts, only the two most voted ones advanced to the final and impressively, Sara James was one of them! With a stunning performance of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” she managed to convince the US-American audience, advanced to the final round and will soon be fighting for the title!

Simon Cowell, who pushed the Golden Buzzer for Sara during the casting rounds, got very emotional during the performance and had a lot of praising words for the Polish singer afterwards.

Sara, I am very emotional towards you because I know how much it means to you. The pressure that was on you … to cope today. And a song selection for today. This song selection was brilliant by the way. Absolutely brilliant. You made this song sound like it was yours. I think this time you will find that Elton John will share your performance
