RTVE opens submissions for Junior Eurovision 2022 internal selection

RTVE has opened submissions for the internal casting they will hold to select the Spanish entrant at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Unlike previous years, the broadcaster has opted for an open selection process where all kids aged 9-14 can take part.

Kids that meet the requirements of the competition can send their recorded live performances from today until September 15th through an online form. Meanwhile, the broadcaster will work on selecting the song that the winner of this national selection will perform on December 11th in Yerevan.

When the submission period expires, RTVE experts will shortlist a number of candidates that will take part in a casting that will take place by the end of September in Madrid. The soloist or group that win the casting will record different candidate songs from which the winning one will be selected.

Spain has taken part at Junior Eurovision a total of seven times achieving successful results except for last year, when they ended in the 15th place with the song “Reír” performed by Levi Díaz.
