Barcelona Eurovision Party confirmed for 2023 – Tickets on sale now!
The first week of the new Eurovision season is almost over and the first Eurovision pre-party of 2023 has announced its full details! It is the Barcelona Eurovision Party, which will take place for the second time, after its debut in March 2022. Barcelona’s head of tourism even confirmed that the Barcelona City Hall was already drafting a bit to host Eurovision in 2023, because of Chanel’s favorite status in the betting odds. Now the city of Barcelona is going to host the Eurovision pre-party instead!
Just like this year, artists from all over Europe will travel to Barcelona to perform and promote their Eurovision entry. Nearly all of this year’s artsits were involved in the Barcelona Party 2022 and some of the artists that performed live were Chanel, Subwoolfer, Citi Zēni, Rosa Linn, We Are Domi, Monika Liu, WRS and many others. Even some former Eurovision winners graced the stage in Barcelona this year, including Jamala or Conchita Wurst.
Full dates and program
Next year’s party will last three days and is going to take place on March 23, 24 and 25. The first day, Thursday March 23, will include a party with specialized DJs at EUROfansCLUB to kick off the event, followed by a private welcome from the Barcelona City Council with the representatives of the different countries on Friday, the 24th of March.
Right after that, the EURO QUEENS NIGHT will take place in the Sala Apolo at 20:00 CET, which will include names like Efendi (Azerbaijan 2021), Barei (Spain 2016) or Ronela Hajati (Albania 2022) and WRS, who represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, will co-host the evening.
On Saturday, March 25, the main Barcelona Eurovision Party will take place. The event was moved from the Sala Apolo, where it was held in 2022, to the Sant Jordi Club for next year, in order to allow more capacity and the creation of a larger stage.
This night will feature a majority of the 2023 participants but also some artists that have already participated in Eurovision in previous years. At the moment Dami Im (Australia 2016), Destiny (Malta 2020/21), Poli Genova (Bulgaria 2016), Suzy (Portugal 2014) and Eva Santamaria (Spain 1993) have been confirmed. Eva Santamaria celebrates 30 years of her performance in the Eurovision Song Contest. More names will be revealed within the next months!
