Benidorm Fest 2022 was cleary a success – here’s what we know about 2023 edition!

The first edition of the Benidorm Fest was a resounding success in terms of audiences and made the Spanish pre-selection for Eurovision 2022 a phenomenon. Some excellent results that were repeated with Chanel Terrero in Turin, with the best position for Spain in 27 years as she finished third overall. Given these expectations, RTVE has been working for months to live up to Benidorm Fest 2023.

According to FormulaTV, RTVE has prepared a special program that will cover the three galas to turn this pre-selection into an event. Mónica Naranjo will be the master of ceremonies for the two semifinals, the final that will be broadcast in prime time on LA 1. Inés Hernand will be back as co-presenter from the Green Room of the Palau d’Esports L’Illa in Benidorm, where the participants of the next edition will be.

Máximo Huerta will be in charge of a daily program dedicated to Benidorm Fest, where the current events related to the event will be revealed. The space will be broadcast in the prime time of LA 1 throughout the week of the contest. Alaska will continue to be associated with Benidorm Fest as the presenter of a Christmas gala, that will be broadcast at the end of the year on LA 1. This special will feature the participation of some of the participants of the first edition and, predictably, Chanel, who the hearts of Europe and Australia, with her ‘Slo-Mo’.
