The Roop release ‘Multiply’ with a very special new vocalist

The Lithuanian Eurovision stars The Roop have delivered a variety of fierce and catchy tracks on their new album “Concrete Flower“, which has been released in May 2022. You can order the full album through this link!

One of their latest releases Every Second was a sequel to their big Eurovision hit On Fire, with which they were supposed to represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, before the competition got canceled. “On Fire” was one of the most popular entries in 2020, with more than 11 million views on YouTube and a second place with the bookmakers, just before the betting odds closed. They eventually represented Lithuania in 2021, with the song Discoteque and ended up in 8th place, which still is Lithuania’s second best result in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Multiply is the next big song on their album and got released today with a striking music video. The most special aspect about the song is, that for the first time in the band’s history, the front singer Vaidotas Valiukevičius is not the only vocalist for the song. Robertas Baranauskas, who is usually the drummer of the band, joins Vaidotas as a vocalist for “Multiply“, which was Vaidotas’ special wish:

Robertas is not only a great drummer, but also plays guitar and keys very well, and has a beautiful voice. So when he sent a demo of “Multiply” with the melody he suggested and sang, I realized that it was necessary to leave it like that. I believe my duet with Robertas worked out great

The Official Music Vidoe to Multiply was shot during the band’s touring, showing their backstage life and their year-long-journey. The Roop stated that the point of the song was to show the light and positivity, that they share on their live shows. Furthermore, the band also teased that some new singles in their native language Lithuanian would come soon!
