Andrew Lambrou will represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2023!

Moments ago, big news broke from Cyprus! They have selected their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool internally and his name is: Andrew Lambrou!

Andrew has not been to Eurovision before but might already ring a bell with quite some fans. Earlier this year he competed in Australia Decides with the electro-pop hit, appropiately called: ‘Electrify’. Although hailing from the Australian city of Sydney, Andrew is from Cypriot descent and with his participation earlier this year, he must have caught the eyes of the delegation on the island of his roots.
As such, the Cypriot 2023 participation is a collaboration between City Pop Records in Australia and Panik Records Greece.

Our Cain has interviewed Andrew earlier this year, ahead of the Australia Decides competition:

Now that Andrew has been chosen to represent Cyprus, he can hardly contain his excitement, which he expressed on his social media channels:

During Australia Decides 2022, Andrew graced the national final with the banger ‘Electrify’:

What song he will represent Cyprus with remains to be seen as more details will be revealed at a later date.
