Marius Bear releases ‘Waiting For Love’ which was submitted for Eurovision

Marius Bear, who represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, released his new single “Waiting For Love”, which would have almost been his entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, instead of “Boys Do Cry”.

In our Torino Throwback interview, Marius talked about his new song and explained that he handed both “Boys Do Cry” and “Waiting For Love” in to SRF for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

We wrote “Boys Do Cry” and “Waiting For Love” together, so they are like brother and sister – For me “Waiting For Love” was a song that I listened to during my Eurovision time when I was too sad, because it cheered me up again. We also sent both songs to the jury of Switzerland but they chose “Boys Do Cry”, and now it was important for me to release “Waiting For Love” because it’s a bit more positive and it also has a big Eurovision moment!

Furthermore, Marius explained that he would like to return to the Eurovision Song Contest, but as a slightly different character. Watch our full interview with him here:

You can now listen to “Waiting For Love” here and decide, whether you think it would have been the better choice to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest, or not.
