The news of Galit’s tragic death saddens and saddens me very much. We shared a common and particularly moving experience, many years ago. Galit will always be remembered as someone who supported me as a child on the world stage. She was always charming to me and I will never forget that. My sincere condolences to her family.

After Eurovision, Galit went on to found a band and released an album in 1994. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, she released some more singles and also competed in the Israeli “X Factor“.

We are very sad to see another Eurovision star leave us and send our sincere condolences to Galit’s family!
