Tõnis Niinemets and Grete Kuld will host Eesti Laul 2023!

The Estonian national broadcaster ERR has confirmed that after a one year break, the duo that met at Eesti Laul 2021 – Grete Kuld and Tõnis Niinemets are taking things into their own hands once again, and will be hosting the 2023 edition of Eesti Laul – the two semi finals on 12th and the 14th of January, as well as the Grand Final which is set to take place on the 11th of February.

As mentioned by ERR, both Grete and Tõnis said “Yes” to hosting the show again, without any second thoughts. Tõnis Niinemets stated:

Eesti Laul is one of the most exciting projects and, to be honest, the biggest celebration of Estonian music. The atmosphere created in the hall during these live shows is indescribable. It is a privilege to be a part of it and to be part of the process.

This duo will also host the show called “Eesti Laul 2023. Start”, on the 2nd of December, where we are going to hear all of the competing songs in Eesti Laul 2023. The preparations for this show are already in full swing, and some recordings are already completed for it. The hosts have already listened to the competing songs, and Grete Kuld stated the following about them:

There will be a strong competition, because the songs are really very good – you can hear that the songs have been worked on and there are both old and new and exciting artists for me. From pop princesses to rockers. I’m looking forward to the live performances!

Tickets for Eesti Laul 2023 will go on sale on the 2nd of December, when “Eesti Laul 2023. Start” also premieres. Stefan won Eesti Laul 2022 and he went on to represent Estonia in Turin, with the song “Hope”. He finished in 13th place in the Grand Final.
