Rovena Dilo: ‘It’s easier to sing and compete, than to be a judge in Festivali i Këngës’

The 61st edition of Festivali i Këngës, Albania’s traditional festival also used to select the country’s act in Eurovision, is set to kick off next week. A total of 26 artists are competing in this year’s selection, and for the first time ever – Albania’s Eurovision act will be selected via televoting.

In the run up to this year’s Festivali i Këngës, we had a great pleasure to chat with one of the most well-known Albanian artists, who is back in the competition, and will try to win the hearts of the jury and the Albanian public with the song “Motit” – Rovena Dilo. We spoke to Rovena about her previous entries in Festivali i Këngës, her collaboration with Hitman, expectations in this year’s Festival, and the changes in the format of selecting the Albanian act for Eurovision.

You can check out everything Rovena told us right here in this interview below:

We are going to hear “Motit” tomorrow for the first time during Festivali i Këngës, but in the meantime, give a listen to one of Rovena’s previous entries in this Festival – “Rrefimi”:
