Sam Ryder’s album reaches Number 1

Sam Ryder’s new album has made it to Number 1 in the UK!

Sam has become the first British male solo artist to debut at Number 1 in the UK with their first record in over three years, after Sam Fender topped the chart with his debut LP Hypersonic Missiles in 2019.

The album is the most physically purchased and digitally downloaded of the week, as well as the best-selling release in UK independent record shops.

Commenting on the news, Sam said:

“It looks like Christmas came early, because we achieved a Number 1 record together. Thank you all so much. If you knew the amount of people who’ve worked so hard on this, it’d blow your mind. This is pure collaboration.

“It couldn’t have been done without so many fabulous, amazing, optimistic legends. I love you, peace!”

As announced previously, Sam will also be hosting a show on the BBC’s main channel BBC1 on New Year’s Eve. You can buy Sam’s album by clicking here.

Congratulations Sam!
