TVORCHI to defend the Ukrainian title in Liverpool

Ukraine’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool has just come to an end and we therefore have our first official entry for next year’s competition. TVORCHI will defend the Ukrainian title with the song “Heart Of Steel” after winning Vidbir 2023 in an exciting voting sequence. They finished 1st with the televoting and 2nd with the Ukrainian jury.

As the defending champion, Ukraine will of course be directly qualified to the Grand Final on May 13th. Watch the full performance here:

I was first introduced to the Eurovision Song Contest at the age of 9, when that "Love Oh Love" song was a big hit in Austria. After watching my first contest, I was absolutely mesmerized by that beautiful event. I re-watched it a million times, started to look up older contests and within a few months I knew pretty much all the songs that ever participated.
Also, I'm probably the only Eurovision fan ever, whose favorite entry is Saskia and Serge's "Tijd" from 1971.
