Germany: Songs for Unser Lied Für Liverpool to be published on January 27th

Less than a week ago, the German broadcaster NDR revealed more details about their national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 “Unser Lied für Liverpool”. The show will take place at 22:20 CET on March 3rd in the Cologne MMC Studios, and will once again be hosted by the popular TV host and German Eurovision spokesperson, Barbara Schöneberger.

Germany’s official Eurovision account now let us know that all the songs that will compete in the final, as well as the candidates for the TikTok wildcard will be released on the 27th of January.

📅 It’s getting serious on January 27th. Then we plan to release all acts of the German final “Unser Lied für Liverpool”. Both the acts that are surely in the show on March 3rd, as well as the acts for the TikTok voting. It’s gonna be exciting! 🤩

Despite earning a lot of criticism for the approach of last year’s national final, the radio stations played a big role in choosing the acts for the national final and will decide 50% of the outcome in the final. The other 50% will be decided by the German televoting.

Malik Harris won the German national final last year with the song “Rockstars” but sadly only reached a total of 6 points at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, finishing in last place.

Do you think Germany can do better this year? Which artist would you like to see at Unser Lied für Liverpool? @escbubble
