Polish broadcaster TVP is extending the deadline for submissions to Poland’s national final Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję by almost a month! Intended to close on 15th January, artists submitting songs now have until 10th February at 22:00 CET.
We won’t have to wait long for the final list of 10 artists after the submission window closes. TVP expects to share that information by 15th February at the latest, with the televised Final still set for 26th February.
Polish news site Eurowizja.org is reporting that voting will be split 50/50 between a televote and a jury. Although interestingly, in the event of a tie, the jury’s pick will win the show and fly to Liverpool in May. They also list several artists have already made submissions, including Kuba Szmajkowski, who finished in fourth place in last year’s final.
Ochman won Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję in 2022, and finished in 12th place in Turin with 151 points, which was Poland’s best result in a Grand Final since 2016!
