The Starlings to perform ‘Rollercoaster’ in the Final of Belgium’s Eurosong!

The fifth and final preview show of this year’s edition of Belgium’s Eurosong – Songclub finished moments ago and we have had confirmation from the seventh and final artist now over what song they will be performing on tomorrow night’s grand finale. The Starlings – consisting of Eurovision 2010 royalty Tom Dice and his very talented wife Kato who has a very distinguished discography of her own too – had a choice between two entries ‘Oceanside’ and ‘Rollercoaster’ but which did they choose?

They first performed ‘Oceanside’ which had a wonderful combination of their vocals and quality harmonies mixed with an anthemic and catchy chorus and then followed it up with an emotional acoustic ballad ‘Rollercoaster’.

After both of their performances, the host had one-on-one chats with the remaining six acts who gave their thoughts on both of their songs, however in the end, it was the duo who got to announce which song she would be taking to the final. The other acts decided that The Starlings should send ‘Oceanside’ however in the end it was confirmed that The Starlings had decided to sing their second song, ‘Rollercoaster’, at the national final on Saturday night instead. The duo cited that this song meant a lot to them personally as it is a song about a miscarriage that they sadly experienced.

This completes the line-up for the final tomorrow night in Belgium:

  • Loredana with “You Lift Me Up”
  • Cherine with “Ça m’ennuie pas”
  • Hunter Falls with “Ooh La La”
  • Ameerah with “The Carnival”
  • Gala Dragot with “T’inquiète”
  • Gustaph with “Because Of You”
  • The Starlings with “Rollercoaster”
