Markéta Irglová: ‘This song came to me in a dream, and then I sat next to a piano and figured out what it was’

The Czech national selected started on Monday night, where the five competing acts presented their songs in a live show broadcast on YouTube and ČT’s online page. After entering the Icelandic Söngvakeppnin last year, Markéta Irglová is now entering the Czech naitonal selection, and hoping to represent her home country with the song “Happy”.

We spoke to Markéta about the song “Happy”, her participation in last year’s Söngvakeppnin, her staging in ESCZ and her Eurovision favorites, but also touched on the story of her Academy Award and future possible involvement in movies.
