Online voting for Unser Lied für Liverpool to start on February 24th

The German act for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be found through Unser Lied für Liverpool on the 3rd of March. Nine different acts are in the running for the German ticket to Liverpool and a combination of an international jury voting (50%), a televoting (25%) and an online voting through the radio stations (25%) will decide the outcome of the show.

Unlike the jury and televoting, the online radio stations will be voting before the live performances. The online radio voting opens on February 24th at 6:00 CET and closes on March 3rd at 22:00 CET, just 20 minutes before the start of the live show. The listeners of the same nine radio stations as last year will be able to cast a vote, which will count just as much as a phone call.

The nine radio stations whose listeners will be able to vote are Antenne Brandenburg, BAYERN 3, Bremen Vier, hr3, MDR-Jump, NDR 2, SR 1, SWR3 and WDR. The online votes and the televotes during the show will make up 50% of the result, while the an international jury consisting of the following countries will make up the other 50%:

🇦🇹 Austria
🇫🇮 Finland
🇱🇹 Lithuania
🇳🇱 Netherlands
🇪🇸 Spain
🇨🇭 Switzerland
🇺🇦 Ukraine
🇬🇧 United Kingdom

The juries will consist of five music and show experts each and give out 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 points to the competing acts. Barbara Schöneberger will host the show, which is going to take place in Cologne’s MMC studios and features some exciting guest stars inlcuding Ilse DeLange and Malik Harris.
