Patty Gurdy: “I wrote Melodies Of Hope after losing my home to a flood”

This Friday, Germany will choose its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 through ‘Unser Lied für Liverpool’. One of the participants is Patty Gurdy, who wants to represent her home nation with the song “Melodies Of Hope”. We had the chance to meet Patty ahead of her performance in Cologne and she told us more about the hurdy gurdy, her reasoning for enetering Eurovision and the tragic backstory to her Eurovision song.
