San Marino waiting until the last minute to reveal semi-finalists
There’s been some big drama this week in Eurovision’s smallest nation.
Sammarinese broadcaster SMRTV was forced to issue a press release yesterday after what appeared to be a leak of the “Big” artists competing in Una voce per San Marino 2023 made the rounds on social media.
The tweet was constructed to look like the official SMRTV Eurovision account, and listed Elettra Lamborghini, La Rappresentante di Lista, Tancredi, Blind, Tropea, Burak Yeter & Carlito Olivero, Aaron Sibley, Kazna, Tolmachevy Sisters (together with Philip Kirkorov), and Irol MC, as competitors in UVPSM this year.
SMRTV vehemently denies the validity of the list, and labeled it a “fake” in its press release. However, it went on to add that a press conference is scheduled for Monday, 20th February, during which the 60 competing acts for UVPSM will be made known.
With the Grand Final set for that Saturday 25th February, it doesn’t leave much time for the five Semi Finals in the lead up to the Final on Saturday. At time of publishing, the dates of these shows have not been announced, nor have the shows appeared on the broadcaster’s TV Guide.

Achille Lauro represented the microstate at Eurovision in Turin, but failed to build on Senhit’s success from Rotterdam and qualify for the Grand Final.
