Søren Torpegaard Lund: “Musical theatre has always been a huge part of my life”

A few weeks ago, our very own Joe B chatted to Denmark’s Søren Torpegaard Lund, who will be competing at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2023 with his Tim Schou-penned song Lige her on Saturday 11th February.

Søren talked about, among other things, his upbringing in musical theatre, the importance of a “chosen family” in the LGBTQ+ community and the interesting choice of instrumentation in his song, including the use of something called a ‘celeste’, as well as DMGP and Eurovision in general.

You can watch the full interview HERE:

As a reminder of writer Tim Schou’s relationship to Eurovision, here he is performing with his band A Friend In London in 2011 with the song New Tomorrow, which came 5th.

Thank you so much to Søren, and held og lykke on Saturday!
